On Wednesday, February 15th, nearly 200 people packed Governor’s Comedy Club of Levittown to attend Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) annual Comedy Night, presented by Fat Guy Media.
The show included performances by five talented comedians who had guests laughing the entire night! Before they took the stage, BBBSLI’s CEO, Mark Cox and Director of Development, Jamison Skala emphasized how support of fundraising events, like Comedy Night, is directly related to the agency’s ability to serve more children. The room erupted with applause when it was shared that BBBSLI created 207 new matches and served a total of 464 children and their families in 2016.
“We need your help to spread word of our mission and the positive impact of mentoring to as many people as possible. Simply by following us on social media and sharing our posts – you will help us to help more children beat the odds that are stacked against them,” said BBBSLI Director of Development, Jamison Skala.
Special thanks to the event’s presenting sponsor, Fat Guy Media, and to our table sponsors – Bethpage Federal Credit Union, BCNY, CHIPS Technology Group, Executive Business Asociation, GNP Branded Gear-Greg Parisi, Mineola Florist, VT Mancusi and Wells Fargo Advisors.
