Stephen Cohen was President of Cohen, Hoenigmann & Badolato, CPA’s PC. Stephen had served as a Board Member and Board Emeritus Member for over 20 years, and we are thankful for his outstanding leadership, friendship, generosity, support, and commitment to our organization.  He will be greatly missed by the entire Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island family, and his community.   He is survived by his wife, Patti, and children, David and Elizabeth.

Dan Greenberg

Dan Greenburg

After selling one of the ‘500 Fastest Growing Companies in the United States’, according to Inc. 500, in 2002, Dan Greenburg is currently a semi-retired consultant helping businesses get to the next level. Mr. Greenburg joined the Big Brothers Big Sister Board of Directors in 2006. He graduated from Lehigh University and earned a law degree in 1974. Mr. Greenburg resides in Merrick.

Scott M. Horowitz

Scott M. Horowitz is the President of Shore Line Insurance Agency, Inc. Mr. Horowitz is the chairman and founder of the Hamptons Offshore Invitational fishing tournament to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island and served as the President of the Shinnecock Marlin and Tuna Club for 10 years. He earned his BA at Southampton College and is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Mr. Horowitz is currently an elected official serving as a Trustee for the Town of Southampton. Mr. Horowitz is also a graduate of the Suffolk County Police Academy. He resides in East Quogue with his wife, Pamela, and his two field-bred English Cockers, Lexi and Bracken.

Jeff Schwartzberg

Jeff Schwartzberg is Co-Founder and Managing Principal at Premier Commercial Real Estate, he has developed a vast background and proven track record in commercial real estate spanning over three decades. Mr. Schwartzberg brings that knowledge to Premier, leading its’ day-to-day business operations. Community-minded, he served for 14 years as a Village Official in the Village of Roslyn Estates; initially serving as Chairman of the Board of Zoning Appeals, and ultimately, he served six years (three terms) as the Village Mayor. Jeff previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island and currently holds a position on the Board Emeritus.

John Talotta

John Talotta

John Talotta is a retired executive having spent more than 30 years with financial and international companies. Mr. Talotta became a Big Brother in 1973 and joined the Board of Directors in 1979. He is a graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in Business Administration and resides in Sea Cliff with his wife Dorothy.

Bill Tymann

Bill Tymann graduated from Fordham University in 1970 with a B.A. in Sociology. He joined Little Flower Children’s Services in 1971 as a social worker and left as Assistant Director in 1979. He joined Big Brothers Big Sisters in Long Island in 1979 as Executive Director and retired in 2013 as CEO. He lives in Aquebogue NY with his wife Celeste and has two grown children, Brian and Lisa and two granddaughters Calla Rose and Mina June.
