ROBERT CERTILMAN, PRESIDENT OF SMITHTOWN ACURA SPONSORS ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING EVENT IN WESTBURY & ISLANDIA
Long Island, NY (October 2020) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) wants to extend its deepest appreciation to Robert Certilman, President of Smithtown Acura for his generosity and support of our Annual Back to School shopping event! This event allowed us to provide back to school supplies for over 35 children.
“I am once again proud to have had the opportunity to sponsor this event. Giving back to the children in our community is so important and providing them with the necessary items to have a successful school year is my way of giving back and supporting the great work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of LI.” Said Robert Certilman.
Smithtown Acura is an award-winning dealership that is proud to serve the communities of Smithtown, Setauket, Commack, Hauppauge, and Nesconset. Through Mr. Certilman’s generosity we have been able to host this event annually in both Nassau and Suffolk County.
“It is through the success of the mentors and the generous contributors like Mr. Certilman that our program can help the Littles achieve a 99 percent high school graduation rate. With the help of his generous contribution, we equip our kids with the tools they need at the beginning of the school year to achieve academic success.”
“We are so appreciative to once again receive support from Robert Certilman and Smithtown Acura. This funding allows for our Littles to pick-out their own supplies and clothing to prepare them for the start of the school year.” said Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island CEO, Mark Cox. “During these difficult times, having our past supporters come through in such a big way is truly life changing for the children and families we serve.”
