Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) proudly announces Meredith McCaslin as the agency’s Director of Development. Meredith will oversee all fundraising programs and events supporting the BBBSLI mission to provide quality mentoring services to children across Long Island.
“Meredith is a great addition to the BBBSLI team and brings a tremendous amount of experience working with nationally recognized charities,” said BBBSLI CEO Mark Cox. “Her energy along with the network she has developed through her various positions will be very beneficial for our agency.”
Meredith comes to BBBSLI with over 10 years of fundraising, stewardship, and community development experience. Throughout her career, Meredith has specialized in fund development for nationally recognized charities including the American Heart Association, JDRF, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Prior to her new position, her background includes working as the Executive Director of Admissions & Institutional Advancement at The Knox School in St. James and serving as Regional Director of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative. Her experience also covers donor stewardship, managing partnership relationships and cultivating sponsors.
Meredith holds a BS in Sports Management from the State University of New York College at Cortland where she was a four-year member of their tennis team. She is the Co-Chair of the Melville Chamber of Commerce Young Professional Group & Committee Member for their Business Expo. Additionally, she serves as a YPG Board Member for New Ground and as a Butterfly Awards Committee Member & Program Mentor for Girls Inc. In 2015, Meredith was recognized by the Melville Chamber of Commerce as their Young Professional of the Year and 2017, was recognized by Long Island Business News as a recipient of their 40 Under 40 Award.
