About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island
All children inherently possess enormous potential. But for many, reaching their potential means overcoming significant challenges. Since 1977, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) has matched children (Littles) with adult mentors (Bigs) that provide a healthy and positive relationship. Big Brothers and Big Sisters serve as role models, friends, and advocates for children needing the additional support from a caring, consistent adult in their lives.
Through its mission BBBSLI aims to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. BBBSLI believes that a strong, enduring, professionally supported, mentoring relationship has the power to change a young person’s life for the better, forever. Visit www.bbbsli.org to learn more.
