Nearly $30,000 Raised for Mentoring on L.I. at BBBSLI’s 2019 Poker Night
On Tuesday, March 19th, over 100 players gathered at The Main Event NY in Farmingdale for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island’s (BBBSLI) 2019 “Poker Night”. The event, presented by Red Hat, raised nearly $30,000 in support of the mentoring agency’s programs across Long Island.
“A big thank you to presenting sponsor Red Hat and all those who helped make our 2019 Poker Night a success. Thanks to the generosity and support of our sponsors and event attendees, the funds raised at last night’s tournament will allow our agency to provide more children across Long Island with quality mentoring services,” said BBBSLI Director of Development Meredith McCaslin.
Kris Kueffner revealed the championship hand at the coveted final table. Jason Tepper and Thomas Mathews finished in 2nd and 3rd Place, respectively. Special congratulations to Kris on being the first woman to win the tournament in the 11 years since BBBSLI began their Poker & Networking series.
BBBSLI would like to extend a special thank you to our presenting sponsor Red Hat. Appreciation also goes to our Ace Sponsors: CHIPS Technology Group, Merrick Madmen and The Whitmore Group as well as our Queen Sponsors: NawrockiSmith and Steve Madden.
