The personal information you provide us is solely utilized to process your application to be a volunteer or to communicate with you regarding agency news and events. When you choose to complete one of our online forms you will be asked to share your name, postal address, phone number and email address. We do not keep any information other than what you voluntarily provide us, as listed above.
Email Communications
BBBSLI periodically sends out email communications to our website visitors to highlight news, events or available opportunities. To receive these communications you must actively subscribe. If at anytime you would like to discontinue receiving these updates you can “unsubscribe” by emailing us or clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ from any of our email communications.
If you indicate on our site that you would like to receive information about BBBSLI programs and services, your personal information will be added to appropriate BBBSLI mailing lists. If at any time you change your mind and would like to add, remove or update your personal information on the BBBSLI mailing list you can email us at volunteers@bbbsli.org or call us at 516-731-7880, ext. 222.
Sharing Information with Others
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island does not sell, rent or trade consumer mailing lists.
It is BBBSLI policy that personal information, such as your name, postal and e-mail address or telephone number, is private and confidential. Accordingly, the personal information you provide is secured and accessible only by designated staff.

Our site provides links to the Websites of some of our sponsors. Please note that BBBSLI is not responsible for the information practices of linked sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of each site you visit.
Online Advertising
For online advertising, BBBSLI uses AdRoll, an analytical tool to distribute online remarketing advertisements. AdRoll consists of dropping tiny data files, or cookies, by us and third parties on a visitor’s computer in order to better personalize the website experience. The cookies also work to target specific ads on certain websites outside of BBBSLI’s domain.
