Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island has been serving Long Island for over 40 years. Their mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth and our Vision is that all youth achieve their full potential. In 2017, 25 Carle Road office space in Westbury was purchased creating opportunity for continued growth, on-site events, and programming. It took the organization to the next level, allowing for more staff and matches to be made.
The organization had a goal of eventually transforming a standard conference room space into a full-blown Activity Center for our Bigs and Littles to enjoy! A few years later and with the generosity and support of The Banyan Tree Roots Foundation, a family foundation located in Smithtown, NY, this dream became a reality.
“We are beyond excited to finally have this vision become a reality. Creating a space that our Matches can enjoy year-round and on the weekends is an exciting new venture for BBBSLI. Special thanks to the Banyan Tree Roots Foundation, who made this possible.” said BBBSLI CEO Mark Cox.
Our Activity Center will be available to our Matches to sign-up and enjoy the space. They can utilize gaming stations, games, arts and crafts, STEAM kits, sports and much more.
