Long Island, NY (May 2022) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) held its CATWALK for Kids Fashion Show on May 4th at the Crest Hollow
Country Club in Woodbury.
Over 200 guests in attendance, 42 matches (Bigs/Littles) strutting their stuff down the runway, amazing swag bags and raffle prizes. Guests started their evening poolside, with a beautiful cocktail reception, followed by a sold-out tented runway show.
Our Bigs and Littles featured fashion and footwear from Macys, Nautica, Savers, Marchon Eyewear and Steve Madden. Showcasing casual leisurewear to professional workplace attire. Our event Emcee and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board Member,
Kristin Thorne, kept the event lively and fun as she introduced each new look.
“This is my favorite event that the organization puts on. It is such a happy and vibrant event, just a lot of fun. People are always
excited to come each year.” Said Co-Chair and Board Member Kelly Stanley.
“Biggest self-esteem booster I have ever seen. It’s amazing to watch kids get up there and strut their stuff down the runway, full of confidence in themselves and what they are wearing, it is an amazing sight!” said Co-Chair and Board Member Liz Meyers.
