What is BBBSLI?
BBBSLI (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island) is a one-to-one mentoring program that pairs awesome adult volunteers (Bigs) with kids (Littles) who could use a positive role model.
Think of it like being the mentor you wish you had—a trusted, supportive friend who shows up, listens, and helps a young person reach their potential. Whether it’s shooting hoops, grabbing a bite, playing video games, or just hanging out, you can make a huge impact—without overhauling your schedule.

Built-in Support – You’re never alone in this! Our Match Support Team is here to offer ideas, guidance, and troubleshooting when you need it.
A Match That Actually Fits – We take time to pair you with a Little based on personality, interests, and location. Love sports? Cool—we’ll match you with a Little who loves them too. More into books and gaming? We got you.
Training & Resources – No experience? No problem! We provide training, activity ideas, and ongoing support to help you be a great mentor.
Flexibility – This is NOT a full-time gig. Just 4-6 hours a month, scheduled around your life.
