Long Island, NY (August 2015) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) proudly announces the launch of their redesigned website, developed to provide visitors with an enhanced user experience by offering new features, convenient tools and seamless navigation. BBBSLI worked with Fat Guy Media, a local Mineola based Web Design Agency, to oversee the redesign of

The redesigned website welcomes visitors with a completely updated look, a fixed navigation bar accessible on every page, convenient donation center tools, a countdown clock for the agency’s next two upcoming events, recent news and match highlight stories profiling Bigs & Littles served by the agency’s mentoring program.

“Our goal was to offer visitors to our website an enhanced user experience by making it easy to navigate and informative,” said BBBSLI Chief Executive Officer, Mark Cox. “In addition to expanded information about our mentoring program and upcoming events, our redesigned website maximizes the convenience for people looking to support us through donations.”

People looking to donate clothing or small house hold items to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Donation Center can visit the website’s online scheduling tool to schedule a free pick up at their homes on a date of their choice. The site also features a newly enhanced bin locator tool that allows for people to easily identify and receive a map of the nearest donation sites.

Additionally, the redesigned website offers expanded options for those looking to support BBBSLI through financial giving. Donors will now find convenient forms that allow them to customize both the amount as well as the specific area of support to apply their online financial gift.

“It was very important for us to work closely with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island to understand their goals and vision in order to create a redesigned website that would accurately represent the organization,” shared Fat Guy Media President, Tom Jacoberger.

In addition to the updated design and new features, the redesigned website was developed to be mobile friendly and responsive. People using mobile devices to visit BBBSLI’s site will now be able to view and access the website on their phones or tablets.
