Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island safety education programs meet the criteria for the New York State Department of Education mandate for training in the prevention of child abduction.

Bring our safety education programs to your school district with funding from:
- NYSED Child Abduction Prevention Education Program: This grant is designed to provide funds to assist public school districts to develop or adopt a curriculum and training program designed for K-8 students, parents, teachers, and support staff to aid in the prevention of child abduction. Deadline for 09/10 school year: August 2009
- Your school’s
PTA/PTSA
- BOCES Arts in Education programs: These programs enable school districts to receive state financial aid for those programs eligible for aid. As a qualifying program, schools can book us directly through the BOCES
website.
