Sperry Federal Credit Union Sponsors Annual Picnic

Sperry Federal Credit Union has sponsored the Annual Summer Picnic for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) at Heckscher State Park for the past two years. This past June, Sperry again joined BBBSLI in providing a fun-filled day of music, food and family fun for over 220 guests.

Sperry’s sponsorship has enabled Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island to offer an eagerly anticipated, annual event for the volunteer mentors, clients and their families, free of charge.

Sperry Federal Credit Union has been a longtime supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, sharing valuable networking opportunities, financial support and their services to the agency and their program participants. Their event sponsorship covered the cost of state park fees and permits, a DJ, obstacle course and a picnic-worthy display of food and beverages for all guests of BBBSLI.

”It is so important that we provide the children in our program with positive experiences,” remarks Susan Samaroo, Chief Operating Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. “Sperry has provided those experiences for the past two years with their generous sponsorship, and we value the relationship that we have built with their organization.”
