Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Hosts “All-In” Poker Tournament

On Tuesday, November 15th, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) presented its annual ‘All-In’ Poker Tournament as part of its Poker & Networking event series. 100 players competed in the event, sponsored by Steve Madden, held at The Main Event Restaurant & Sports Bar in Farmingdale. The event raised nearly $25,000 in support of quality mentoring on Long Island.

Evan Pfeffer revealed the championship hand at the coveted final table. Tim Foley and David Finkel finished in 2nd and 3rd Place, respectively. The top prize was a $2,500 Traveler’s Choice Voucher. Second prize was a Hotel Indigo East End getaway & Crème de la Mer package for two and the third place winner received a twosome to BBBSLI’s 2017 Golf Tournament at Muttontown.

“While Evan was crowned the tournament champion, everyone that came out to play or network is a champion in the eyes of the children and families we serve.  Their generous support tonight and throughout the year allows us to make a bigger difference in the lives of more children each and every day,” said Jamison Skala, BBBSLI Director of Development.

BBBSLI would like to express its appreciation to the events presenting sponsor Steve Madden. Special thanks to the night’s table sponsors: Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, CHIPS, EBA, Freedom Mortgage, Merrick Madmen, Mineola Lions and Nerium International.

Additional thanks to those companies and individuals who donated prizes for the tournament including: Hofstra University, Hotel Indigo East End, PC Richard & Son, RGD Marketing, Stand UP NY and Steven Madden.
