Our Mission

Incorporated in 1977, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and shine.

Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth by making meaningful, professionally supported matches between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles).

Donations

We send our fleet of trucks across Long Island six days a week and pick up gently used items at your doorstep—including clothing, coats, shoes, and small household items. Our Donation Center turns these items into much-needed funding for our mentoring program.
